I didn't post this week as I was in Shanghai. It was immense with twice the population of London, and a couple thousand people just shy of New York City. The Yangtze dissects the city and is just immense. Like the Mississippi in width and scale (it may have been wider), there are a constant stream of ships heading into China. It felt like a city very aware of its image, with so many different time periods and architecture everywhere. So much construction and growth occurring, with old buildings being torn down to build up new. I wish I had more time to really explore. I'll post more from my trip this week.
